Im in love!!!

At the moment I am in love with OPI "I want to be a-lone star". I was unsure at first because I am an extreme shade of pale and thought the sky-blue would clash horrendously with mine skin tone, but to my surprise it doesn't. yay!!!!!!!!!!

I want to be a-lone star comes from OPI Texas collection one of the OPI is more versatile colour range. There's something for everyone and every skin tone which I feel OPI sometimes doesn't always get it quite right. But nothing gets me more giddy than a new range by OPI with the graphics for the range always at the very highest standard.

My model Clare also has fair skin, contrast and colour looks amazing specially with her gorgeous long nail beds.

Queen b!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last month while having my nails done by award-winning Belinda Price at Nailspa I also had the opportunity to photograph and play with her new range of products that she has brought out called Queen B. I must say I absolutely love them.

Belinda has drawn on her two decades worth of experience and in the industry to create Queen B. With a team of chemists Belinda has developed a range of products to suit your client and will benefit you as a nail technician. Queen B has been manufactured in the UK reducing the carbon footprint for the brand. This is something that is rare within the nail industry and Belinda with a new brand is leading head and shoulders all the way. By producing the products in the UK, not only reduces carbon footprint but also makes the brand extremely affordable. Something that your client would love. I know that Belinda also looked at using recycled glass bottles but this isn't an option at this moment in time.

When I asked Belinda why she chose to produce these three products she said "I have chosen the items that perform best and that as a nail tech we use the most." and here they are!!!!!!

B Strong, a nail strengthener with vitamin E and Pomegranate. This product will give extra strength and flexibility and shield damaged flaky nails, use in conjunction with B Healthy for best results.

B Healthy is a nail and cuticle oil which when used regularly will lengthen the wear of enhancements and polish, promote healthy cell renewal and hydrate cuticles and surrounding skin.Containing wheatgerm and lime B Healthy is expected to be our top seller.

B Quick,a quick drying topcoat to protect and add shine to colour. Ideal during the winter months when hands are cold and polish dries slower or people want to put their boots straight back on after a pedicure!

All three products come in 11ml bottles and have an rrp of £9.50. To purchase any of these products header over to the Queen B website www.queenbproducts.co.uk

Belinda Price truly unstoppable at the moment with many trophies under the belt, an award-winning salon and a new range of fabulous products. I wish you good luck for the future and for nail professional of the year.

Busy Busy Busy

so it's been a busy week in the showbiz world with the Grammys on Sunday and the Brits last night lots of juicy gossip and news to report.

Lady Gaga has yet again broken all known rules of fashion arriving at the Grammys in what only can be described as an egg of some kind, but don't we love her for it? oh yes!

Lady Gaga was wearing Yellow Brick Road nail polish by Deborah Lippmann celebrated celebrity manicurist during her performance. Deborah Lippmann colour yellow Brick Road matched Lady Gaga stage performance outfit fantastically.

Yellow Brick Road launches on April 15 and will be
available for $16 at www.deborahlippmann.com.

Gaga seems to be a big fan of Deborah Lippmann's unique colour collections. Deborah Lippmann's styled Lady Gaga’s nails for Vanity Fair’s September cover with Waking Up In Vegas (a truly breathtaking colour of grey).

Whether you're a Lady Gaga fan are not, you can't  fail to be impressed by her daring nature. Are you a fan of Gaga or are you not?

Sex and the City

Who doesn't love Sex and the City? I have all six box sets and watch them regularly. This particular part in an episode always irritates me as a nail technician. Nail tec work hard and play hard. Some people I find look done there noses at me when the find out I'm a nail tec. This played a large factor in me going to university which I now wish I had not done.

I hope this this does not put off other budding nail technicians because it did not me. Let me know how you feel about this all you nail tecs out there.
